I live in a beautiful part of the UK, and like many things in life I often take it for granted, which is a bit rubbish really. So, I’ve decided to make a time lapse video feature about West Yorkshire’s Calder Valley, with its rugged countryside and character towns as a personal video project/ homage to where I live.
This clip is just a brief taster from some footage I’ve captured so far. It’s only short, but is currently a mixture of ‘stills based’ time lapse footage and actual HD video in it’s current form, and was made using a combination of Lightroom, Premiere Pro and After Effects.
Just to give a rough idea of the complexities involved in this type of video production, the first part of the clip alone is made up of 500 still images – It’s an involved and lengthy process!
Anyway, lots more to come on this, and for anyone that’s interested I’ll be blogging more about the technical aspects involved in making time lapse videos, so watch this space.
